Physical Education
Secondary Campus Program
Physical Education is a vital and integral part of the Oakwood educational program. Teaching students the value of staying physically active and developing their sports skills for present and future leisure pursuits is important.
Our program provides the physical activity and developmental learning experience appropriate for the growth and maturation of our students. Regular physical activity stimulates the development of cardiovascular function, muscular strength, and endurance. Additionally, the Oakwood program provides benefits that contribute to a sense of well-being and support academic achievement.

HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS
Oakwood athletics is about winning - winning on the scoreboard and winning by teaching life lessons. With a school record of four high school league titles in 2016 and eight teams qualifying for CIFSS playoffs in 2017, athletes at Oakwood demonstrate their strengths in winning on the field. Equally important to the number on the scoreboard is Oakwood's commitment to teaching life lessons through athletics.
As a long-time member of the Positive Coaching Alliance, Oakwood focuses on the teaching of life lessons such as dealing with failure, time management, and humility in victory and gracious in defeat. By all measures, Oakwood Athletics is a winner!
