Elementary Campus (K-6)
STEP 1: APPLY ONLINE
Applications for the 2022-2023 school year will be available July 1, 2021. All application materials are available on our website and through your Oakwood application portal (Oakwood Connected). When you are ready to submit an application for your child, please click here.
Note: Applications for the 2021-2022 school year are closed. To submit a late application, please contact the admission office at elementaryadmission@oakwoodschool.org.
STEP 2: PARENT CONVERSATION (Kindergarten)
Kindergarten applicant families will have a parent conversation with the Director of Admission, Nancy Goldberg. Please note: children applying for Kindergarten must be five years old by September 1, 2022.
STEP 3: PLAYDATE/SCREENING
All applicants (K-6) and parents will be invited to participate in a grade level screening. We will inform you of your screening date by January. During these sessions, children will be asked to participate in a variety of activities that will help us get to know them. Parents will be given the opportunity to ask questions related to Oakwood’s curriculum and school life.
STEP 4: SUPPLEMENTAL FORMS
Teacher recommendations and transcripts are due to the office no later than January 7, 2022. We prefer items to be updated through the prospective family portal on Oakwood Connected. To download supplemental forms, click here.
STEP 5: FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE APPLICATION

Secondary Campus (7-12)
STEP 1: APPLY ONLINE
Applications for the 2022-2023 school year are available NOW and are due December 3, 2021 (to guarantee an interview) or January 7, 2022. An earlier application submission will allow for our admission team to begin getting to know your family sooner.

STEP 2: PARENT/GUARDIAN & STUDENT ZOOM INTERVIEW
Submit your application early to secure an interview date and a campus tour.
When your application is received, our office will notify you of your zoom interview date within two weeks. Earlier applicants have greater flexibility in scheduling appointments. Campus tours are available for applicants only. Proof of vaccination and/or a negative COVID test are required.
STEP 3: SUPPLEMENTAL FORMS
In addition to the application and interview, we require transcripts and confidential teacher recommendations from the student's current English and Math instructors, and school Administrator. Teacher recommendations and transcripts are due to the office no later than January 14, 2022. We prefer items to be updated through the prospective family portal on Oakwood Connected. Please note: In an effort to support an equitable admission process, Oakwood does not require the ISEE. All secondary campus applicants will be given a writing prompt to complete at the time of their interview or tour.
