Prospective Parent Mornings are for parent(s) & guardian(s) who wish to learn more about Oakwood School's elementary campus (K-6). Applications need not be submitted to attend. If your child is not applying until Fall 2023, we ask that you attend a Prospective Parent Morning in December 2021.

Understanding Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging at Oakwood

This event for applicant families is designed to illustrate the specific ways in which Oakwood is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every member of our community is valued and feels a sense of belonging. Our K-12 Director and Associate Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging along with other elementary campus administrators and teachers will discuss curriculum and demonstrate student experiences in the classroom. Parent ambassadors will share insights, as well.

These 40-minute student information sessions are designed to provide prospective students with an overview of the many opportunities available at Oakwood. This presentation will include an overview of programs and a Q & A portion. We ask that your child be a current 6th-11th grade student planning to apply for the 2022-2023 school year. This event for prospective parents is designed to illustrate the specific ways in which Oakwood is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every member of our community is valued and feels a sense of belonging. Student and faculty leaders from the various affinity and mentorship groups will discuss their programs and offer insight into the ways students of color and same-gendered families are supported at Oakwood.

This year our Diversity Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging theme is, "Building Coalition for Racial and Social Justice (Past/Present/Future)." Please join us for our annual Diversity Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging event to learn how Oakwood is engaging the Oakwood community in critical conversations about racial inequalities and racial justice.

APPLICANT PJ Q&A WITH CURRENT STUDENTS (New!)

Hey students! Put on your pajamas and join current Oakwood students for an informal chat about what it’s really like to be an Oakwood student! You bring your questions and we will provide some treats. Students will cover everything from lockers to language arts to lunch. The Zoom link will be sent the date before each event. Spaces are limited so be sure to reserve your spot. APPLICATIONS MUST BE COMPLETED IN ORDER TO ATTEND.

This event is designed to acquaint prospective parents and their daughters with the Oakwood experience as it pertains to self-identifying girls. APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN ORDER TO ATTEND. (7-12 grade self-identifying female applicants and their parents/guardians)

SECONDARY CAMPUS VISITS & ZOOM INTERVIEWS

Submit your application early to secure an interview date and campus tour. When your application is received, our office will notify you of your ZOOM interview date within two weeks. Earlier applicants have greater flexibility in scheduling appointments.

Campus tours will be offered for applicant families only. Proof of vaccination and/or negative COVID test results are required.
